Why piano is part of the week

Piano is taught on campus by a specialist instructor as a normal part of the school week. Learners start with posture, hand shape and finding their way around the keyboard, and build from there toward reading music properly and playing with both hands.

Few things teach patience quite like an instrument. A learner has to practise a passage that will not come right, hear the difference, and try again — and then stand up and play it in front of an audience. That habit of careful, repeated work transfers directly into their academic study.
