Career Day

Parents and friends of the school came in to talk to learners about their work, from piloting and medicine to farming and engineering. Each class rotated through short talks, and learners got to try on a pilot’s cap and hold a doctor’s stethoscope.

Career Day is one of the clearest examples of how we bring the world into the classroom rather than waiting for learners to go looking for it. Meeting real professionals face to face turns an abstract subject into something a young one can picture themselves doing one day, and it fits naturally into the practical, curiosity-led spirit of Competency-Based Education.
