Steadmark Gardens Visit

Kindergarten and lower primary learners spent a morning at Steadmark Gardens, walking through the gardens and getting close to the animals kept there. It was a hands-on science lesson outside the classroom, and they came back with drawings of what they had seen.

Trips like this turn a science topic into something learners can touch, smell and ask questions about on the spot. It is the kind of outdoor, experience-led learning that sits at the heart of a genuinely holistic education, and the drawings that came back with the class said more than any worksheet could.
